Game Description

Sunrise Story (Vietnamese title: Nhà Trọ Bình Minh) is a cozy homestay management and life simulation game deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture. Players leave an office job in the city, put their savings and a loan from Dad into a worn-out homestay at the tip of a fishing peninsula, and set out to fulfil the wish of its old owner, Cụ Sáu: bring visitors, and life, back to Sunrise Bay.

Homestay Management with Responsibility

Each morning brings a board of booking requests. Players choose the guests they can properly serve, clean and prepare rooms, and complete check-in on time. Rooms are sized and furnished by the player, and guests ask for specific qualities such as cozy, spacious, quiet, a sea-view balcony or heritage décor. Good service raises the homestay through six reputation ranks, from Unknown to Heritage, and unlocks staff to hire.

Cooking, Fishing and the Market

Afternoons open up the peninsula. Players fish three waters for 30 species, shop at the market and grocery, and work with Chef William to research and upgrade 30 Vietnamese recipes for breakfast and dinner service. Catches can be cooked, sold, gifted or donated to the town aquarium.

A Community, Not a Dating Sim

Eleven townspeople have their own routines, stories and heart events. Friendship grows to ten hearts and opens new services, discounts and help around the homestay. Relationships are about friendship, family and trust; there is no romance. As the homestay prospers, a fading fishing town becomes a place worth visiting again.

Seasons, Weather and Vietnamese Festivals

The year runs through four 28-day seasons with changing weather, from sea rain to cold gales and typhoons. Each season holds one major festival drawn from coastal Vietnamese life: the Summer Fishing Tournament, the Lantern and Full Moon Night, the Nghinh Ông Festival and Tết.
